Reports say that Manchester United has made a formal offer for Juventus’ Cristiano Ronaldo. They want him back at the Old Trafford, 11 years after he left the club.
Portuguese newspaper Record were the first with the breaking news that Ronaldo was heading to Madrid through Sport Witness way back in 2009. Now they’re back with the scoop that United has made a formal offer to Mendes. Jorge Mendes represents Ronaldo.
There have been rumors that the Italian club wants to get rid of its expensive superstar and champion Ronaldo, who earns £28 million per year.
Thirty five year old Ronaldo had spent eight years at the Old Trafford playing when Alex Ferguson, “Fergie” dominated the game. The Madeira born player was acquired By Manchester United when he was eighteen. He was one of their top players helping them win the FA Cup in his first season. United also won three back to back Premier League titles, the UEFA Champions League and the FIFA Club World Cup when he played at the Old Trafford.
He won his first Ballon D’Or at the age of 23. He has been a very successful player having won five Ballon D’Or so far. He is the captain of the Portuguese National Team and was named the best national players of all times.
