Malik Mack led a balanced attack with 18 points to fuel Georgetown to a 92-75 victory over Wagner on Saturday in Washington, D.C.

Julius Halaifonua contributed 16 points and nine rebounds for the Hoyas (5-0), who are off to their best start since the 2017-18 season.

Five Georgetown players scored in double figures, including Caleb Williams (15 points) and UConn transfer Isaiah Abraham (12 points), who made 4 of 5 shots from the floor. KJ Lewis added 10 points, five assists and four steals.

The Hoyas used their defense and benefited from a 24-6 edge in points scored off turnovers to rattle Wagner (0-5).

Jaden Baker scored 22 points and Nick Jones added 16 to go along with nine rebounds for the Seahawks. Binael Basil produced 12 points and six rebounds for Wagner.

Jeremiah Williams made a three-point play off a hook shot in the lane to give the Hoyas the lead for good at 9-7.

Abraham energized the Hoyas by draining 3-pointers to start and finish an 11-point burst. Abraham also had a steal during the run and feed to Jayden Fort for a breakaway slam.

The spree put Georgetown up 25-11 with 7:48 left. From that point, the Hoyas led by double-digit margins the rest of the way.

Wagner’s best stretch of the game came in the final 1:28 of the first half as Basil made a 3-pointer and a jumper on back-to-back possessions and Jones added two free throws and a driving layup.

The 9-2 spurt cut Georgetown’s lead to 44-27 at the break.

The teams traded baskets in a fast-paced second half as the margin toggled between 11 and 21 points.

Wagner scored 48 points in the free-flowing period but every time the Seahawks made a mini-run, the Hoyas responded to remain in command.

Georgetown made 46.8% of its shots and hit 9 of 22 (40.9%) from 3-point range, with Mack making 4 of 7 attempts from deep.
