Kayla McBride, Diamond Miller and Nikolina Milic added 10 points apiece for Minnesota (9-9), which knocked off the Mercury for the second time in less than a week after an 86-76 win in Phoenix on July 1.

Bridget Carleton chipped in 11 points, which included going 3-for-4 from 3-point range, and Dorka Juhasz added five points and 10 rebounds for the Lynx.

The Lynx shot 28-of-65 (43.1 percent) from the field, including 7-of-19 (36.8 percent) from 3-point range. Minnesota outrebounded the Mercury 38-30.

The Mercury (3-14), who lost for the ninth time in their past 10 games, were led by Michaela Onyenwere’s game-high 24 points. Brittney Griner added 12 points and seven rebounds.

Phoenix shot 23-of-61 (37.7 percent) from the field, including 6-of-20 (30 percent) from beyond the arc.

After Moriah Jefferson’s 3-pointer pulled the Mercury within 16-10 with 3:06 left in the first quarter, the Lynx closed the period with a 7-0 run to take a 23-10 advantage. They built the lead up to 39-22 by halftime.

Collier scored eight points and McBride added seven in the first half for Minnesota, which shot 15-of-38 (39.5 percent) from the field before the break, including 4-of-10 (40 percent) from beyond the arc.

Phoenix was led by Onyenwere’s six first-half points, while Jefferson added five. The Mercury shot 7-of-24 (29.2 percent) from the field prior to halftime, including 3-of-10 (30 percent) from distance.

The Lynx stretched their lead to 51-27 on Carleton’s 3-pointer with 6:29 left in the third quarter before the Mercury cut the deficit to 57-45 entering the fourth.
