Luis Urias homered and Jace Peterson doubled twice and drove in the go-ahead run to help the visiting Milwaukee Brewers snap a season-high, three-game losing streak with a 5-4 win over the Cincinnati Reds on Tuesday night.

Urias also made the defensive play of the night, stabbing a Kyle Farmer line drive with the potential tying and go-ahead runs on base to end Cincinnati’s three-run rally in the eighth inning.

Freddy Peralta (2-1) limited the Reds to one run on four hits over 5 2/3 innings. He struck out eight and walked one to help Milwaukee beat Cincinnati for the fourth time in five tries this season.

The Reds got two hits and three walks off ace setup reliever Devin Williams in the eighth, a frame that included a run-scoring walk by Colin Moran and a two-run double from Tyler Naquin that cut Milwaukee’s lead to one. However, Luis Perdomo retired Farmer (with help from Urias) to end the threat.

In just his second appearance since April 27, Josh Hader recorded his 12th save in as many chances. Hader walked Matt Reynolds to open the ninth before retiring the next three batters to end the game. His strikeouts of Brandon Drury and Tommy Pham to finish the game gave him 500 for his career.

Hunter Greene (1-5), who allowed a franchise-tying five homers last week in Milwaukee, gave up two runs on four hits in 5 1/3 innings on Tuesday. He walked four and struck out six.

The Reds took a 1-0 lead when Mike Moustakas and Tyler Stephenson opened the second inning with back-to-back doubles.

The Brewers tied the game in the fourth when Urias lofted a high fly ball that just cleared the wall in left for his second homer of the season.

In the sixth, Tyrone Taylor singled off Greene’s glove before Jace Peterson doubled off reliever Tony Santillan to score Taylor and put the Brewers on top 2-1.

Santillan faced the minimum three batters and didn’t record an out, hitting Lorenzo Cain and walking Victor Caratini to load the bases. Lucas Sims entered and yielded a sacrifice fly to Kolten Wong that up Milwaukee went up 3-1.
