Top Esports shut out G2 Esports 2-0 on Saturday to advance to the grand final at the Esports World Cup in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
China’s Wenbo “JackeyLove” Yu recorded a match-high 14 kills to go along with two deaths and 15 assists as Top Esports prevailed in 29 minutes on blue and 27 minutes on red to oust G2 in the semifinals.
Top Esports will face T1 for the title. T1 rallied for a 2-1 victory over Team Liquid on Saturday, responding to a match-opening, 40-minute loss on red with 29-minute victories on blue and red.
The eventual winner of the eight-team tournament will bring home $400,000 of the $1 million prize pool. All matches were best-of-three leading up to the grand final, which is best-of-five.
