LOL News: Team Liquid advances to lower-bracket semifinal at 2025 Split 2

Team Liquid knocked out Dignitas 3-1 on Saturday in the lower-bracket quarterfinals in the League of Legends LTA North 2025 Split 2 in Los Angeles.

Shopify Rebellion faces 100 Thieves on Sunday in the other best-of-five lower-bracket quarterfinal, with the winner going up against Team Liquid on June 8 in the semifinals.

The upper-bracket semifinals pits FlyQuest against Cloud9 on June 7, with the victor moving on to the grand final on June 15 and the loser dropping down to the lower-bracket final on June 14.

Team Liquid opened Saturday’s match with a victory in 29 minutes on blue, then Dignitas won in 45 minutes on blue. Team Liquid responded with victories in 26 minutes on blue and 29 minutes on red.

Following the group stage and one week of cross-group battles, the top six teams advanced to the best-of-five, double-elimination playoffs that run through June 15.

The total prize pool is $160,000, with $80,000 going to the winner and $40,000 to the runner-up. The winner also receives entry into the Mid-Season Invitational and the winner and runner-up qualify for the Esports World Cup.
