T1 rolled over Gen.G Esports on Sunday to secure a matchup with Bilibili Gaming in the 2024 League of Legends World Championship grand final in Berlin.
T1 and Bilibili Gaming will square off in the grand final on Saturday, with the winner taking home $445,000 and the runner-up earning $356,000.
The Swiss Stage format of the $2.225 million event sorted 16 teams through five rounds, with the top eight teams after the five rounds advancing to the single-elimination knockout stage. All knockout matches were best-of-five.
All eight quarterfinalists are guaranteed at least $100,125.
In Sunday’s 3-1 victory, T1 split the first two games with Gen.G Esports, winning the first in 30 minutes on green and losing the second in 28 minutes on green. T1 then notched 32- and 34-minute wins on green to secure their spot in the championship.
Lee “Gumayusi” Min-hyeong led the way for T1, posting 19 kills and 20 assists with just four deaths.
