LOL News: Shopify Rebellion beats Team Liquid to advance at 2025 Split 2

Shopify Rebellion defeated Team Liquid 3-1 to survive and advance in the lower bracket of the League of Legends LTA North 2025 Split 2 on Sunday in Los Angeles.

Shopify Rebellion advanced to the lower-bracket final this Saturday, where they will face Cloud9. FlyQuest beat Cloud9 3-2 in the upper-bracket final to secure their spot in the June 15 grand final.

Playing on red, Shopify won the first round in 33 minutes, but it took them 54 minutes to grind out their second win. Team Liquid got on the board with a 34-minute win on blue, but Shopify closed things out with a 33-minute victory on blue.

Juan “Contractz” Garcia was named MVP of the match Sunday for Shopify Rebellion. He had 21 assists over the first two maps alone and he posted a 2-0-5 kills-deaths-assists ratio on the decisive fourth map.

Following the group stage and one week of cross-group battles, the top six teams advanced to the best-of-five, double-elimination playoffs that run through June 15.

The total prize pool is $160,000, with $80,000 going to the winner and $40,000 to the runner-up. The winner also receives entry into the Mid-Season Invitational and the winner and runner-up qualify for the Esports World Cup.
