LOL News: FlyQuest’s win lifts them to top of LCS Spring Split standings

FlyQuest ran their record to 5-1 and moved into first place by themselves on Saturday in Week 3 of the League Championship Series Spring Split.

FlyQuest was playing on blue as they defeated Cloud9 in 31 minutes. The day’s other winners were Team Liquid, 100 Thieves and Shopify Rebellion.

The Rebellion moved from alone in last place to join two other teams at 2-4 by beating NRG in 31 minutes. NRG fell one game behind FlyQuest and into second place.

100 Thieves and Team Liquid improved to 3-3 and joined Cloud9 in a tie for third in the standings.

Alan “Busio” Cwalina of the U.S. led FlyQuest’s win with a 4-1-9 kill-death-assist ratio. Joseph Joon “Jojopyun” Pyun of Canada posted a 4-4-2 for Cloud9.

Playing on red, Team Liquid defeated Dignitas in 32 minutes. Eom “UmTi” Seong-hyeon of South Korea led the winners at 3-4-1, while countryman Kim “Dove” Jae-yeon paced Dignitas with 3-1-2.

The Thieves were also on red in their 33-minute defeat of the Immortals. Lim “Quid” Hyeon-seung of South Korea went for a 5-1-13 mark for the Thieves. Lee “Mask” Sang-hun of South Korea and Edward “Tactical” Ra of the U.S. each scored a 3-3-3 for the Immortals.

Ju “Bvoy” Yeong-hoon of South Korea carried the Rebellion with a 9-1-7, and Niship “Dhokla” Doshi of the U.S. topped NRG at 3-5-2.

Week 3 concludes Sunday with four matches:

–FlyQuest vs. Dignitas

–Team Liquid vs. Cloud9

–100 Thieves vs. Shopify Rebellion

–NRG vs. Immortals
