Cloud9 opened its spring season title defense with a 1-0 victory over NRG on Saturday in group-stage action of the League Championship Series 2024 Spring Split.

In addition to earning $100,000, the winner of the grand final will also qualify for the 2024 Mid-Season Invitational in Chengdu, China. The runner-up will also earn a berth in that event, which runs from May 1-19.
