Cloud9 and Disguised opened play at the League Championship Series 2026 Lock-In at Los Angeles with Round 1 victories on Saturday in League of Legends’ first event of the year.

Eain “APA” Stearns of the United States earned MVP honors for Cloud9 in its 2-0 victory over Team Liquid with a 7/1/11 kills-deaths-assists ratio. Cloud9 clinched the win with a 30-minute triumph on blue.

Sentinels opened with a 50-minute victory on red, but Disguised bounced back with 37-minute and 29-minute wins on blue to pull out a 2-1 victory. Isaac “DARKWINGS” Chou of the United States was named MVP after posting a 6/14/21 K-D-A ratio for Disguised.

Using a Swiss style format with three rounds, the matches are best-of-three, except the last-chance tiebreaker is best-of-one. The 3-0 team will choose their opponent from among the 2-1 teams for the upper bracket. The 0-3 team will be eliminated.

Among the 1-2 teams, the one with the best game record will auto-advance as the fifth seed in the lower bracket. The remaining two teams will compete in a last-chance tiebreaker to claim the sixth and final seed in the playoffs.

In the playoffs, it will be double-elimination, with all matches best-of-five. The overall winner qualifies for the 2026 First Stand Tournament.

Round 1 continues Sunday with two matches:
FlyQuest vs. Shopify Rebellion
LYON vs. Dignitas
