Bilibili Gaming outlasted FlyQuest 3-2 to advance in the lower bracket of the League of Legends Mid-Season Invitational on Tuesday in Vancouver.

Anyone’s Legend is next up for Bilibili Gaming on Thursday in Round 3 of the lower bracket. Anyone’s Legend had eliminated CTBC Flying Oyster 3-1 on Monday in the other half of Round 2. The winner Thursday moves on to the lower bracket final on Friday, one step from the grand final on Saturday.

The upper bracket final is scheduled for Wednesday between Gen.G Esports and T1.

The $2 million event began with two teams from each League of Legends region: China, Korea, Pacific, the Americas and Europe-Middle East-Africa.

All matches in the play-in and the double-elimination bracket stage are best-of-five. The winner of the grand final will earn $500,000 and a spot in the $5 million League of Legends World Championship, to be played this fall in China.

On Tuesday, FlyQuest took the first map in 36 minutes on blue, then Bilibili Gaming evened the match with 30 minutes on blue and took the lead with a 37-minute win, also on blue.

FlyQuest squared the match in 28 minutes on red, before Bilibili Gaming captured the decisive fifth map in 32 minutes on blue.

Bilibili Gaming’s Zhuo “knight” Ding of China was selected the most valuable player. He averaged a kills-deaths-assists ratio of 5.6-2-8.4 over five maps.
