Anyone’s Legend used a 3-0 win over Bilibili Gaming to advance to the lower bracket final at the League of Legends Mid-Season Invitational on Thursday in Vancouver, Canada.
Anyone’s Legend will play T1 on Friday for a spot in the grand final against Gen.G Esports. Anyone’s Legend was knocked into the lower bracket by Gen.G on July 4.
The $2 million event began with two teams from each League of Legends region: China, Korea, Pacific, the Americas and Europe-Middle East-Africa.
All matches in the play-in and the double-elimination bracket stage are best-of-five. The winner of the grand final will earn $500,000 and a spot in the $5 million League of Legends World Championship, to be played this fall in China.
On Thursday, Anyone’s Legend opened with a 37-minute win on blue, followed that with a 29-minute win on red before finishing off the sweep in 44 minutes on red.
Lee “Tarzan” Seung-yong of Anyone’s Legend was the match MVP after tallying 13 kills, five deaths and 37 assists. Kim “Kael” Jin-hong finished with 50 assists.
Zhuo “knight” Ding led Bilibili Gaming with an 11-10-10 K-D-A ratio.
Bilibili Gaming finished fourth overall, netting the $200,000 prize money for that position.
