Frank “Tomo” Lam recorded 11 kills on the clinching map as 100 Thieves beat Cloud9 3-1 on Sunday in the lower-bracket semifinal of the League Championship Series Summer Split playoffs.

The result comes with a major prize. By guaranteeing a spot among the tournament’s top three finishers, 100 Thieves are headed to, at worst, the play-in event for the League of Legends World Championship, scheduled for Sept. 25-Nov. 2.

The top two teams from the LCS playoffs go straight into the Worlds’ Swiss stage.

In the more immediate future, 100 Thieves move on to the lower-bracket final against FlyQuest on Friday. The winner will meet Team Liquid in the grand final on Sept. 7.

Eight teams began the LCS Summer Split playoffs, and six advanced to the double-elimination playoff bracket. All playoff matches are best-of-five, with the winner of the tournament taking home $100,000 of the $200,000 prize pool.

On Sunday, 100 Thieves won the first map on red, lost the second map on red, captured the third map on blue and clinched the victory on red. Lam finished with an average 4.5/0.8/5.5 kill-death-assist ratio. South Korea’s Kim “Berserker” Min-cheol paced Cloud9 with an average 3.3/0.5/4.5 K-D-A ratio.

LCS Summer Split prize pool:
1. $100,000, qualification to Worlds
2. $50,000, qualification to Worlds
3. $30,000, qualification to Worlds
4. $20,000 — Cloud9
5. No prize money — Dignitas
6. No prize money — NRG
7. No prize money — Shopify Rebellion
8. No prize money — Immortals
