LOL 100 Thieves win fourth straight in LCS Summer Split

100 Thieves won their fourth straight match to stay within one game of the top spot as Week 6 action of the LCS 2022 Summer Split began Saturday.

The Thieves (9-3), who defeated the first-place Evil Geniuses last week, knocked off last-place Dignitas (2-10) on Saturday. The Geniuses (10-2) stayed alone atop the standings by beating the Immortals (3-9).

Team Liquid and FlyQuest entered the day tied for third, but Liquid improved to 8-4 with a win over TSM (3-9). Playing in the day’s first match, FlyQuest fell to 7-5 after losing to Cloud9 (7-5).

Yet another team, Counter Logic Gaming, is 7-5 after they defeated Golden Guardians (4-8).

The Thieves were playing on blue as they won in 36 minutes. Kim “Ssumday” Chan-ho of South Korea finished with a kills/deaths/assists ratio of 6/1/3 to lead the Thieves, while no player had more than one kill for Dignitas.

In a match that stretched to 46 minutes, the Geniuses survived on red. Kacper “Inspired” Sloma of Poland (6/2/5) and Joseph Joon “jojopyun” Pyun of Canada (6/4/6) led their win. Mohamed “Revenge” Kaddoura of the U.S. finished at 6/4/4 for the Immortals.

Liquid emerged victorious in 29 minutes on blue. Steven “Hans sama” Liv of France (3/0/8) and Lucas “Santorin” Tao Kilmer Larsen of Denmark (3/0/5) topped the winners, while no player had more than two kills for TSM.

Kim “Berserker” Min-cheol of South Korea led the way for Cloud9 in their 27-minute win on red. He posted a 6/0/8, while Philip “Philip” Zeng of Canada finished at 3/5/5 for FlyQuest.

Counter Logic Gaming, playing on red, needed 37 minutes to dispatch the Golden Guardians. Cristian “Palafox” Palafox (6/4/9) and Juan Arturo “Contractz” Garcia, both of the U.S., (6/2/7) led the winners. Kim “Olleh” Joo-sung of South Korea tallied 4/3/5 for the Guardians.

Week 6 action concludes Sunday with five matches:
TSM vs. Golden Guardians
Evil Geniuses vs. FlyQuest
Team Liquid vs. Cloud9
Immortals vs. 100 Thieves
Dignitas vs. Counter Logic Gaming
