King Charles, Queen Camilla and several members of the royal family were present at the unveiling of statues of his late mother Queen Elizabeth II and his late father Prince Philip, the Duke of Edinburgh at a special festival of remembrance. King Charles became visibly emotional at the festival that was held at the Royal Albert Hall, in London.

Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip had been dedicated to the Remembrance festival as well as the Royal Albert Hall. So, bronze life-sized statues of the royal couple were unveiled to commemorate them as the iconic building is celebrating its 150th anniversary.

Many members of the royal family had attended The Royal British Legion Festival of Remembrance at Royal Albert Hall. The Festival of Remembrance is in its 80th year since the Battle of the Atlantic. Around 65,000 seamen had lost their lives in the battle. There were also tributes to contributions by other British armed forces.

On Saturday the 74-year-old monarch unveiled the statue of his mother, the late Queen Elizabeth II while Queen Camilla unveiled the statue of Prince Philip. Queen Elizabeth II passed away on September 8, 2022, following which Charles became the King while Prince Philip passed away in April 2021. Both of them were constant in honoring veterans and attended Remembrance Day events.

King Charles and Prince William wore their military uniforms. They also wore their medals on their chests. Queen Camilla wore a black outfit and a poppy pin. Her jewelry included subtle diamonds and pearls earrings, necklace and rings. The Princess of Wales also wore a black outfit, earrings and three strings of pearls that belonged to Queen Elizabeth. She also wore a poppy pin.

Other royal family members including Prince Edward and Sophie, Duchess of Edinburgh, Princess Anne, who also wore pearls with her black outfit, Vice Admiral Sir Tim Lawrence, leaders of both the political parties in England and others also attended the Festival of Remembrance event that included ceremonies, songs and performances.
