Kelly Clarkson can also heave a sigh of relief as her divorce settlement with Brandon Blackstone has finally been settled. The American Idol winner had filed for divorce in June 2020. They were married for seven years. The Grammy award winner will pay a huge, one time settlement of more than $1.3 million. She will also pay monthly child support of $45, 601 per month. Kelly and Brandon have two children–River Rose, 7 and Remington Alexander, 5.
The Blast obtained court documents that showed the gains of each spouse from the divorce, which had turned nasty at times.

$115,000 per month till January 31, 2024 as spousal support

The couple have decided to share custody of the children, although they will stay with Kelly Clarkson, in her home in Los Angeles. She will pay $50,000 for private air travel for the kids, till they get vaccinated, following which they will fly first class, to visit Brandon in Montana, one weekend a month. He will pay rent for the ranch till June, following which it is not known where he will relocate.
Kelly Clarkson had legally filed to change her name to Kelly Brianne. She wants to make her middle name her last name, according to court documents that were obtained by US Weekly. The Stronger singer explained that her new name “more fully reflects who I am.”
