John Wroblewski will coach the U.S. women’s national hockey team in the 2026 Winter Olympics.
USA Hockey announced Monday that Wroblewski, a Wisconsin native, will continue to guide the team through the Milano Cortina Games in Italy. He has held the position since June 2022.
“It’s an honor to continue to coach our U.S. Women’s National Team and I’m thankful to USA Hockey for the opportunity,” Wroblewski, 42, said in a news release. “I couldn’t be more excited about the years ahead, especially this upcoming season as we look to defend our world championship title on home soil.”
He led Team USA to the gold medal at the 2023 IIHF Women’s World Championship and a silver medal in 2022. The gold medal was the first for the United States since 2019.
He also won a gold medal in international competition at the IIHF Under-18 Men’s World Championship. He is the only coach to win a championship with a U.S. men’s and women’s team.
His coaching resume also includes stops in the AHL, USHL and ECHL, as well as with USA Hockey’s National Team Development Program.
