Celebrity host of Today and daughter of former president George Bush, Jenna Bush Hager was visiting Scotland to interview Camilla Parker Bowles who is now the Queen Consort of KIng Charles III of Britain. Jenna Hager Bush was in Scotland for a scheduled interview, with Camilla when Buckingham Palace had announced that Queen Elizabeth II was under observation, by her doctors and King Charles III and his wife Camilla had rushed to be with her at Balmoral Castle, Scotland.
In a September 12 episode of Today, Jenna shared news about the Queen’s health and said that the Buckingham Palace announcement might have been a shock to the Royals as she was invited to a dinner with Charles, on Wednesday night, the night before the scheduled interview.
Jenna said that they had set up for their sit-down interview the next morning. However, on Thursday morning, they received information that the interview had to be postponed from Camilla and Charles’ team as the couple had received a telephone call.
Jenna mentioned that as she and her team received the news, they also saw a helicopter flying above them. She realized that this was not a move that the royals would “take lightly.” The interview was canceled as they left.
Jenna continued speaking of the incident on the Today show where she recalled that the team told them that the Queen was ill and that the royal couple had rushed to see her. She believed that the royals might have been surprised at the ill health of the Queen, The Queen passed away a few hours later, after a 70-year old reign.
