Jenna Bush Hager recently commented on family members while hosting a popular daytime show. She mentioned how her mother wanted her to change the spelling of her daughter’s name as Texans were pronouncing it in a particular way. She also welcomed Chelsea Handler on the show and and referred to her as her “sissy.”
Jenna Bush Hager and Chelsea Handler recently greeted each other like sisters when the comedian appeared on Today with Jenna & Friends.
Jenna said, “Finally, one of my family members, my sissy Chelsea Handler. We’ve been waiting for you [to come on the show].”
Jenna Bush Hager has one biological sister Barbara, who is also her twin. Chelsea Handler is an honorary member of the family. The comedian had said that an ideal lifestyle was to spend two hours a day working, and the rest of it having a good time. This description of a lifestyle synchronised with both the twins.

Jenna said, “By the way, that’s why we’re related. I love that.”
Handler also chipped in about the relationship and said, “People don’t know that we’re sisters, by the way. We have a whole thing. We’re related. Barbara’s our sister too. We’re triplets.”
Jenna also thanked Chelsea on social media, for her appearance on the Today Show.
A few days ago, Jenna Bush Hager said with a laugh that former First Lady Laura Bush suggested that her granddaughter’s name Mila could be spelled as Mela, similar to Lela as many Texans were mispronouncing her name as My-la.
The 44-year old co-host of Today with Jenna & Friends shared this exchange with her web fans. She said her mother Laura Bush said, “In Texas, they’re calling her My-la, the way you spelled it. Lela is [spelled] L-E-L-A, maybe you can change it to M-E-L-A.”
Jenna Bush Hager is not keen to change the spelling of her daughter’s name, just because Texans are mispronouncing it.
She said, “Let her be. Never say it.”
