Jaylen Brown scored a game-high 35 points to help the Boston Celtics end a two-game losing streak with a 136-107 win over the visiting Washington Wizards on Wednesday night.

Brown shot 13 of 21 from the floor and made 7 of 9 free-throw attempts. He also had five rebounds and five assists.

Josh Minott added a career-best 21 points for the Celtics, who received 15 points and a game-high 12 rebounds from Neemias Queta. Payton Pritchard and Anfernee Simons each tossed in 18 points.

Washington turned the ball over 19 times, and the Celtics had a 30-3 edge in points off giveaways. Boston, which improved its home record to 2-3, has won its past nine games against Washington.

Alex Sarr led the Wizards in points (31), rebounds (eight) and blocked shots (three).

Justin Champagnie (12), Marvin Bagley III (11) and Malaki Branham (10) were the other Washington players who scored in double figures.

The Wizards have lost six in a row and have surrendered at least 119 points in seven of their eight games.

Washington had a 37-26 lead after one quarter, but the Celtics outscored the Wizards 44-23 in the second to take a 70-60 halftime lead. Boston went on a 23-4 run at the start of the second quarter to grab a 49-41 advantage with 5:21 remaining in the half. Pritchard scored 16 of his 18 points in the second.

The Celtics held their largest lead to that point, 93-70, following a Simons 3-pointer with 4:18 left in the third. The Wizards trailed 102-80 entering the final 12 minutes.

Boston’s lead peaked at 33 points late in the final quarter.

The Wizards played without veteran forward Khris Middleton, who missed the game due to right knee soreness. Middleton also sat out Washington’s Monday loss to the New York Knicks because of a left elbow contusion.
