Jarrett Allen scored a game-high 30 points and grabbed 10 rebounds as the short-handed Cleveland Cavaliers defeated the host Miami Heat 130-116 on Wednesday night.

Miami, which beat visiting Cleveland on Monday, slipped to 5-1 at home despite 27 points from Norman Powell.

The Heat, though, suffered through a season-high 21 turnovers.

Cleveland never led for the first three quarters, but posted a 19-5 run to start the fourth to take a 112-102 lead.

The Cavaliers, who have won five of six, got 21 points from De’Andre Hunter and 19 points from reserve Craig Porter Jr. Lonzo Ball added 15 points and eight assists.

Aside from Powell, Miami got 15 points and a game-high 13 rebounds from Kel’el Ware and 17 points, nine rebounds and six assists from Andrew Wiggins.

The Cavaliers rested stars Donovan Mitchell, who entered Wednesday fourth in the NBA in scoring average (30.4), and Evan Mobley, who averaged 20.1 points coming into the game and is the league’s reigning Defensive Player of the Year.

Cleveland’s Jaylon Tyson (concussion) and Darius Garland (toe) both sat out after getting injured in Monday’s loss.

Miami, which had a three-game winning streak halted, continued to play without All-Stars Bam Adebayo (toe) and Tyler Herro (ankle).

The Heat, off to a fast start, led 38-29 after a first quarter during which they had a 10-0 edge on fastbreak points. Miami also shot 60.9% from the floor compared to 36.4% for the Cavaliers.

Cleveland closed its deficit to 69-66 at halftime as it shot 50% from the floor and outscored Miami 18-10 in the paint in the second quarter. Miami shot just 46.2%

Powell led all first-half scorers with 17 points.

The third quarter was evenly played with the Heat increasing their lead by one point to 97-93.

Cleveland took its first lead at 99-98 with 10:03 left in the fourth quarter on a floater by Luke Travers and cruised from there.

Cleveland shot 26 of 31 from the foul line. Miami attempted far fewer free throws, making 11 of 13.

The Cavaliers have beaten the Heat in six out of their past seven matchups, including a first-round playoff sweep last season.
