Janet Jackson recently talked about the moment she knew that her relationship with elder brother Michael Jackson (MJ) changed. It was after the release of MJ’s super duper hit album “Thriller.” He was 24 and she was 16. Janet opened up on details about their relationship in a documentary “Janet” a two-night event which premiered Friday night on Lifetime and A&E.
Janet said that she loved the album “Thriller” that was released in November 1982. She said that her brother used to come to her room and talk to her before but after the release of the album he stopped talking and that was when “Mike” and she went their “separate ways” and she said that he “”wasn’t as fun as he used to be,” according to a report in Just Jarrod.
She also mentioned that her career was slowed down when she stood by her brother Michael Jackson as he faced child molestation charges in the nineties. She lost an endorsement from Coca Cola for standing by him and she said that she now termed the incident as “Guilty by association.”

She also said that Michael and she had collaborated in the 1990’s for a song called “Scream” but the brother and sister were kept apart. She shot days and he shot nights and she felt hurt because she wanted it to feel like “old times.”
The Jackson 5 began their career at a young age and Janet said that they did not have a normal childhood. Janet Jackson was also a teen actor. She spoke of how she had been called names by Michael as she was overweight and she called herself an “emotional eater.”
According to a report in Variety, she said that the family met at a surprise party for their parents. They shared laughter and togetherness and the last thing she and Michael said to each other was “I love you.” She said that was the last time she saw him but at least she had that. She also said that she missed him.
She also addressed the infamous incident at the Super Bowl as well as rumors that she had a secret child, with her husband, which were false. Janet Jackson is a musical talent by herself and not just by association with her musically inclined family.
