Jacob Crews had 20 points, one of six Missouri players in double figures, as the Tigers beat Prairie View A&M 91-73 in a nonconference game Monday night in Columbia, Mo.

The Tigers (5-0) got their 19th straight nonconference home win by shooting 51.6% from the field, hitting 10 3-pointers and outrebounding Prairie View 49-28.

Crews was 7 of 10 from the field, including 4 of 5 from 3, as he set a personal high for points scored in two seasons with Missouri. Anthony Robinson had 13 and three other Tigers had 12, including Shawn Phillips Jr., who posted a double-double with 13 rebounds.

The one blemish for Mizzou was turnovers, as 14 giveaways led to 16 points for Prairie View.

Tai’Reon Joseph had 17 points while Marcel Bryant and Cory Wells had 16 apiece for Prairie View A&M, which had five players in double figures but only six that scored. The Panthers (2-3) have lost 21 consecutive nonconference games to Division I opponents.

Missouri led 49-27 at halftime. Prairie View got within 17 but then went more than four minutes without scoring and the Tigers scored 13 straight for a 69-39 lead.

The Panthers made it respectable down the stretch, falling behind by as much as 35 before outscoring Missouri 32-15 over the final 9:47. That included a 10-0 run as Prairie View made six of its last nine shots.

Prairie View stayed within two scores early until Missouri went on a 20-2 run for a 31-12 lead with 6:55 left in the first half. A 3-pointer by Jayden Stone upped the margin to 43-18 with 3:21 to go before halftime.

Missouri hosts South Dakota on Thursday to continue a seven-game homestand through the end of the month. Prairie View heads to Pensacola, Fla., for a matchup with Tennessee-Martin on Saturday in a multi-team event that also features North Florida and Southern Miss.
