Shortly, California introduces a deadly twist to the lottery game with the ‘Grand Lottery.’ The catch? One must kill the winner before sundown to claim the multi-billion dollar jackpot.
Enter Katie Kim (Awkwafina), a newcomer to Los Angeles who inadvertently finds herself holding the winning ticket.
With her life now in immediate danger, Katie teams up with Noel Cassidy (John Cena), a novice lottery protection agent determined to get her to safety by sundown in exchange for a share of her winnings.
However, Noel’s task is far from simple as he must contend with his cunning rival, Louis Lewis (Simu Liu), who is equally determined to claim Katie’s fortune.
Directed by Paul Feig and written by Rob Yescombe, “Jackpot” delivers a thrilling, action-packed ride that keeps viewers on the edge.
