The son of an Indiana pastor, accused of grooming a 16-year-old girl for sex, has now been accused of abuse by three women. 39-year-old Jeremiah Lowe is accused of sexually abusing two of his victims when they were children. Lowe allegedly touched and inappropriately touched one of the alleged victims when she was 11 and he was 18, and the other lady accused him of molesting her while he was babysitting her in the 2000s.
In addition to the alleged victims, Lowe’s ex-wife, Abbey Plummer, accused him of forcing her to have sex with him, verbally assaulting her, and even choking and beating her. Plummer reportedly accused Lowe of smearing dog urine on her cheeks.
These charges follow the removal of Lowe’s father, John Lowe II, from his position at New Life Christian Church in Warsaw in May. He had previously disclosed to his congregation that he had an affair with a 16-year-old girl.
Bobi Gephart, who is now 43, came on stage during a service, grabbed a microphone, and said he groomed her as a teenager, took her virginity, and sexually assaulted her. Gephart said that Lowe gained her trust, told her he loved her and sexually abused her. When she was 16, things had escalated. Her relationship with John Lowe lasted nine years, and he was able to keep her silent about their unlawful romance by instilling terror in her about what would happen if anyone found out.
Laura Bohnke, now 33, accused Lowe of telling her when she was 11 that she would be his wife. She alleged that the abuse began in 2000, when Lowe began making comments on her changing figure. She claims that the abuse stopped in 2002, when the family left the church. In 2005, she filed a complaint with the Kosciuszko Sheriff’s Office. Lowe disputed the charges and refused to submit to a polygraph examination.
