Indiana All-American Trayce Jackson-Davis declared for the 2023 NBA Draft on Tuesday and waived his extra year of NCAA eligibility.

“Indiana, I appreciate the life lessons and every experience this beautiful university has taught me,” Jackson-Davis wrote in a social media post. “…it has truly been a pleasure to wear the cream and crimson. I will cherish this lace and am happy to say that I can call it my home.”

Jackson-Davis, a consensus first-team All-American and winner of the Karl Malone Award given to the best power forward in college basketball, is expected to be selected in the draft, potentially in the first round.

He was also a finalist for the Naismith and Wooden Awards, national player of the year honors that went to Purdue center Zach Edey.

Jackson-Davis averaged career highs of 20.9 points, 10.8 rebounds, 4.0 assists and 2.9 blocks per game over 32 games (all starts) in 2022-23, his fourth year at Indiana.

In 126 career games (all starts) over those four years, Jackson-Davis posted 17.9 points, 9.1 rebounds, 2.2 assists and 2.1 blocks per contest.
