In the court filing Jolie said, “Pitt’s aggressive behavior started even before the family got to the airport, with Pitt having a confrontation with one of the children. After the flight took off, Jolie approached Pitt and asked him what was wrong.” “Pitt accused her of being too deferential to the children and verbally attacked her.”
According to the cross-complaint submitted on Tuesday, the alleged event reportedly began as a verbal disagreement in which Pitt allegedly accused his then-wife of showing “too differential” to the children.
In the statement, it is claimed that Pitt “grabbed Jolie by the head and shook her, then grabbed her shoulders and shook her again, before forcing her into the bathroom wall.” Pitt then repeatedly struck the plane’s ceiling, which caused Jolie to come out of the restroom.” “Pitt lunged at his own child and Jolie grabbed him from behind to stop him. To get Jolie off his back, Pitt threw himself backwards into the airplane’s seats injuring Jolie’s back and elbow,” the filing says. “The children rushed in, and all bravely tried to protect each other. Before it was over, Pitt choked one of the children and struck another in the face.”
According to a statement from the FBI, the agency “conducted a review of the circumstances and will not pursue further inquiry.”
The formerly married celebrity couple are at odds over Jolie’s decision to sell her share of their co-owned Chateau Miraval winery in France. In 2021, Jolie sold Tenute del Mondo, a division of the Stoli Group, which is run by Russian businessman Yuri Shefler, her share of the winery.
