Photos of two Chinese doctors who survived Covid-19 in Wuhan, China, are circulating widely on social media and news outlets around the world. The photos are accompanied by the claim that their skin turned black after they were infected with the novel coronavirus. 
- Two 42-year-old Chinese doctors from Wuhan, where the COVID-19 pandemic started, had their skin turn black due to liver issues.
- A hormonal imbalance that may be tied to a mysterious treatment may be to blame for the change in skin color. The condition is expected to go away once liver function improves.
- Both patients have been hooked up to ECMO machines for an extended period, with one of them having been in the hospital for 100 days.

Dr. Hu Weifeng, the urologist, has actually been bed-bound with a record of 99 days and his overall health is still considered weak, according to Dr. Li Shusheng who has treated Dr. Hu. Dr. Li has also said that aside from the virus, they are also very worried about Dr. Hu’s own mental health.
