Customers of Verizon may soon qualify for a portion of a $100 million class action settlement. Customers who had monthly plans paid secret administration costs in a “deceptive and unfair manner,” according to the lawsuit, which was filed in New Jersey.
Customers whose charges were issued between January 1, 2016, and November 8, 2023, are covered by the settlement; impacted parties have until this spring to submit a claim.
You have to file a claim to receive any money, which might be as much as $100 apiece but is probably going to be much less.
Verizon stands by its claim and any wrongdoing in a statement that it “clearly identifies and describes its wireless consumer admin charge multiple times during the sales transaction, as well as in its marketing, contracts, and billing.”

You must file a claim by April 15, 2024, to receive a payment from the settlement. Click here to file a claim.
If you do nothing, Verizon says you give up the right to sue Verizon about the issues in this lawsuit.
If you opt-out and receive no payment from the settlement and retain any rights, you may have to sue Verizon about the issues in this lawsuit. If you object or comment, you can still file a claim and receive payment.
Make sure to file a claim by April 15, 2024, to receive a payment.
