The House of Dior presented its Fall-Winter 2022 collection at Paris Fashion Week. Following the successful March showing, the french fashion house moved across the globe to the Republic of Korea. It showed its Fall 2022 collection in Seoul, on April 30, 2022. This was the first time that Dior had a runway show in Seoul, South Korea.
A selected group of guests, which included Jisoo, the Blackpink singer, who is both a muse and a friend of the french fashion house, were invited for the show. The K-pop star is a global ambassador for the brand from 2021. Other celebrities included Min-ha Kim, Suzy Bae, Park Joo-mi, rapper Sehun, Olympic champion and figure skater Yuna Kim, Nam Joo Hyuk and many more.
There were almost 88 silhouettes who walked the ramp, embracing the school girl trend, with inputs from Ewha University for Women. Dior collaborates with the university as a part of its mentoring program called Women@Dior.
The Dior Fall 2022 fashion show began with skateboarders. They were followed by models who wore yellow plaid and sheer tulle. Some of them had pleated outerwear. The clothes displayed were office wear that was aesthetically designed. The press release said that the collection had “punk overtones.” Maria Grazia Chiuri, who is the creative director at the french luxury house, oversaw the entire collection.
