Two days after they got together to watch a Kansas City Chiefs game on the team’s way to the Super Bowl, Ricky Johnson, 38, Clayton McGeeney, 36, and David Harrington, 37, were discovered dead outside of Willis’ house on January 9-frozen in the cold.

Willis’s lawyer said that his client moved quickly to leave his house, which he had willingly given police permission to search twice, out of “fear of retaliation” following the deaths of his companions.

An attorney representing the Missouri man, Brian Willis, who rents the house, says he is adamant that his client had nothing to do with the tragedy.

Now Willis has checked himself into a  treatment rehab facility.

The friend of the three buddies who froze to death is represented by an attorney, who stated that his client believes the last time he saw the men “was when they left his house, and he went to bed.” The lawyer says Willis had no idea that family and friends were looking for them “before being contacted by the police.”

Families of the victims say they are not getting much information from the police. The bodies were sent away, and autopsy results are going to take some time. Speculation about the tragic deaths is that perhaps drugs were involved and that whatever was ingested could have been laced with fentanyl.

TMZ reported, “One of the men, Clayton, had a connection to pharmaceuticals, which might shed some light. We’ve uncovered that McGeeney had an active pharmacist license issued last year and set to expire at the end of May 2024.” “David Harrington, another one of the men who died — was arrested back in Colorado in 2011 for possession of a Schedule II controlled substance.”

Willis has been accused of poisoning some of the deceased men’s families or of being involved in some other way. Harrington’s girlfriend has maintained that the three were murdered despite the lack of proof to back up her claims.
