Miami Heat forward Nikola Jovic will miss at least four-plus weeks due to a fractured right hand, the team said Tuesday.
Jovic fractured the second metacarpal in his right hand during Sunday’s 120-113 loss to the host Milwaukee Bucks. He sat out Monday’s 98-86 loss against the host Atlanta Hawks.
The team said Jovic will wear a splint and be re-evaluated in four weeks.
The 21-year-old Jovic is averaging 10.7 points, 3.9 rebounds and 2.8 assists in 46 games (10 starts) this season. This is his third NBA campaign.
Jovic was a first-round pick (27th overall) by the Heat in the 2022 draft. He has career averages of 8.7 points, 3.8 rebounds and 2.2 assists in 107 games (56 starts).
