On Tuesday, celebrity Stephen ‘tWitch’ Boss former DJ of the Ellen DeGeneres Show, died at a motel room in Los Angeles. He was 40-years old. The DJ shot himself, three days after his ninth wedding anniversary. The couple had recently posted a Christmas dance video on social media. His wife, a professional dancer, host Ellen DeGeneres and others paid tribute to him.
Celebrity Stephen Boss checked into the Oak Tree Motel in LA, on Monday morning, after enquiring if rooms were available. He walked to the motel which is 15 minutes away from his home. He used his own name to check in. When he didn’t return by Tuesday, his wife became frantic and went to a file a report at a local LAPD.

The motel manager said that a maid went in to his room, on Tuesday morning and found his stuff in the room. She checked the bathroom and there was blood all over. The maid was scared as this was the first time that something like this had happened in the LA motel. The motel staff called 911, who asked them to check for a pulse, but they couldn’t find one. The paramedics and police, who arrived at the motel room, said that he was dead. The police do not suspect foul play as it was a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

Boss began his career as a DJ. He entered showbiz on MTV’s The Wade Robson Project. In 2008, Stephen ‘tWitch’ Boss was a competitor in the popular show “So You Think You Can Dance.” He was a runner-up. He returned to the show as an All-Star. In 2022, he was back on the popular show, this time as a judge. He was also a runner-up on Star Search.
Boss worked on The Ellen DeGeneres Show as a DJ from 2014 to 2022. He became an executive producer in 2020. He defended the show and the host, unlike many who spoke against it, leading to the cancellation of the show in 2022. Host Ellen DeGeneres paid a tribute to him and said, “…I loved him with all my heart.” Fans are devastated.

Boss leaves behind wife Allison and children: Weslie, 14, Maddox, 6and Zaia, 3. In her statement she said, “…Stephen, we love you, we miss you, and I will always save the last dance for you.”
