Celebrity rapper Machine Gun Kelly (MGK) has allegedly made a comeback to his rap game and appears to be targeting celebrity rapper from Louisville, Jack Harlow. MGK dropped a new “Renegade Freestyle” on May 6, in which he appeared to throw shade at Harlow.
In the song, MGK is heard rapping, “I see why they call you Jackman / You jacked man’s whole swag, give Drake his flow back, man.” He also said that he ate rappers. The use of the “Renegade” beat, a collaboration between Jay-Z and Eminem from 2001, was strategic, as Harlow had claimed to be the “hardest white boy” since Eminem in his track “They Don’t Love It” off his latest album, “Jackman.”

Web fans on social media speculated that MGK’s reference to “Jackman” in his lyrics was a direct response to Harlow’s new album, which was released on April 28 with no features and has been praised for the rapper returning to his roots. Harlow has yet to respond to MGK’s apparent dig.
A recent sports allusion is also applied by MGK, who compares his detractors to former Memphis Grizzlies star Dillon Brooks. During a playoff matchup with LeBron James’ Los Angeles Lakers, the NBA player allegedly said something to cast doubt on James.
The singer and songwriter have a history of feuding with Eminem, dating back to 2012 when he used a vulgar term to describe Eminem’s daughter, stating that she was very attractive on social media. He later expressed regret, admitting that he “didn’t know how old” Hallie was at the time he made the remark on the “The Breakfast Club” radio program on Power 105.1.
The two allegedly feuded in 2018 when MGK called Eminem the “big bad bully of the rap game” on his track “Rap Devil.”

Aside from his music, celebrity rapper Harlow has been promoting the modern reboot of the 1992 film “White Men Can’t Jump,” in which he stars alongside Sinqua Walls, Teyana Taylor, Vince Staples, Laura Harrier, Myles Bullock, and the late Lance Reddick. Over the weekend, Harlow reportedly attended the 2023 Kentucky Derby wearing a gray tweed suit, alongside several stars.
