Celebrity Britney Spears has apparently sold her entire catalogue for $200 million. The amount has not been officially disclosed but the Baby One More Time singer’s entire musical repertoire should be worth more. American singer Spears is not the only music artiste to cash out on her catalog. Other celebrity singers who have sold part or their entire music collection include Justin Bieber, Justin Timberlake, Bruce Springsteen, Prince and Queen.
Leading independent music publisher Primary Waves has bought the Britney Spears collection. However, the publisher has not shared any details about the price or the future of her hit songs though it’s been more than a decade since she released an album.
Britney Spears came out of a strict conservatorship and financial exploitation by family members mainly her father a few years ago, but the Pop Princess has not been able to adjust to her new circumstances well enough to resume her singing career.
Spears also faced a breakup with model actor Sam Asghari, after she was released from her conservatorship. Their marriage didn’t last despite them being in a relationship for years together. Spears had been very excited about her marriage to him despite her difficult relationships earlier, but the marriage lasted for only two years.
The Toxic singer also had a difficult relationship with her ex-husband, dancer Kevin Federline (2004-2007) with whom she had two sons. He gained custody of their children and Britney Spears paid hundreds of thousands of dollars in child support till they turned 18.
Britney Spears made sporadic dance and music videos after she was released from the strict conservatorship of her father. She also seemed to have a few breakdowns causing her web fans to worry about her.
Popular American singer Britney Spears supposedly has a better relationship with her sons after they became adults and moved away from their father Kevin Federline who rarely if ever lost any opportunity by which he could berate his ex, including his memoir which reportedly hurt Britney Spears.
Many web fans hope that the sale of her music catalog will bring comfort and security to Britney Spears and will always hope that she will drop new music, later if not sooner.
