The Sixers cut the deficit to nine before Phoenix closed the third quarter on a 17-2 run, capped by Allen’s layup that gave the Suns a commanding 90-66 lead.

Philadelphia played without Tobias Harris (right ankle sprain), Robert Covington (left knee bruise), and star Joel Embiid, who has missed the last 23 games while recovering a torn meniscus in his left knee.
