Google (GOOGL) Cloud announced that it is collaborating with Mayo Clinic on June 7. The two giants aim to transform healthcare using artificial intelligence (AI). They have collaborated in the past but the present one includes the use of AI that is also HIPAA compliant.
According to Google Cloud, the Enterprise Search in Generative AI App Builder improves the efficiency of clinical workflows. Clinicians and research workers will find it easier to get the needed information and the end result is improvements in patient outcomes.
The Enterprise Search in Generative App Builder brings data from different sources in one place making it easier to search and to analyze, and to finally identify the results that would provide most relevance. Google Cloud is developing these relevant outcomes in a clinical setting in collaboration with Mayo Clinic and other health providers.

Chris Ross, Chief Information Officer of Mayo Clinic said that the tools from Google Cloud would help them unlock information that potentially might not be searched through conventional ways and it might help interpret or gain access to patients’ medical history.
Ross added that gaining such insights in a faster way might “drive more cures, create more connections with patients, and transform healthcare.”
Google Cloud thinks that generative AI would help review data in better ways. It could also condense and digest information, create new images, and have other uses as well.
The cloud company also outlined various other ways in which its AI app could help healthcare organizations. Some of the ways included the following:
optimizing work productivity
streamlining administration processes
using technology for tasks that are repetitive
letting caregivers focus on high-value interactions with patients.
Google Cloud also confirmed that its infrastructure was reliable and its data was stored securely and was in compliance with federal HIPAA laws.
