Nominations for the 2026 Golden Globe awards have been revealed on a popular network. There have been some winners and some losers among the nominations that have been expected or unexpected, depending on our reporters and web fans perspectives. There are some Hollywood celebrity stars, directors, and producers who are happy after being nominated, while others remain disappointed.

One Battle After Another leads the nominations with nominees in nine categories and seems to be the movie to beat if others want to compete. Other nominations such as Sentimental Value have eight nominations; Sinner has seven nominations, and Hamnet has six.

Two huge misses in in the best picture category nominations, in musical or comedy and drama are Wicked: For Good though it received five nominations, and Avatar: Fire and Ash which also did not make it to the best film category.

Netflix films Frankenstein and Nouvelle Vague have made it to the best picture in their categories as well as received some other nominations.

Some A-list actors such as George Clooney, Jennifer Lawrence, Julia Roberts, and Dwayne Johnson are among the Golden Globes nominees.

The White Lotus leads with six nominations for TV while Adolescences has five. Both Only Murderers in the Building and Severance have four nominations.

Many international films have also been nominated, some of which include It Was Just An Accident, The Secret Agent, No Other Choice, Nouvelle Vague and The Voice of Hind Rajab.

Winners of the Golden Globes are chosen by an international group of entertainment journalists. They will receive a list of the nominees in each category, and they have one vote each for each category.

The Golden Globes award function is scheduled to be held on January 11, 2026. Hollywood and international stars will congregate at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in California, USA. Nikki Glaser will host the ceremony for a second consecutive year.
