Dustin Diamond, “Saved by the Bell” star and comedian, was recently diagnosed with cancer – Stage 4. He had first discovered a lump on his throat a while ago and it turned out to be cancerous. As he’s undergoing his first round of chemotherapy his friends have decided to wrap up a beautiful car with a “Get Well Soon” message.
Dan Block, president Insurance King, and personal friend is plastering a “Get Well Soon DUSTIN” message flamboyantly on NASCAR driver Josh Bilicki’s car, to cheer up his friend.
The wrap will pay homage to the star and the classic TV show as it will have the show’s font and logo as per a rendering got by TMZ. The rear bumper will feature Dustin’s mug and the words “Saved by the King” on its hood.
The car will debut before the NASCAR cup series later this year. This is the second time Bilicki’s car is getting a makeover. The last time it did, it looked like a pretty nifty “police cruiser.”
Dustin has starred in quite a few Insurance King commercials. In one commercial, he speeds past a cop. He is pulled over and gets a ticket. The cop asks him how he can afford car insurance as they are many speeding tickets in his name, Samuel Screech Powers (the name of the role he played in the nineties series) says, “C’mon. I’m saved by the king.” Boom.
