Game 4 of the World Series 2020 has been one of the mostly closely contested baseball games ever. It was an unforgettable game this October. The game went as follows: 1-0, 2-0, then it changed to 2-1, 3-1, then 3-2, 4-2. Then the Rays managed to come back with 5-4, 6-5. The score leveled at 6-6, followed by 7-6 and 8-7. The final moments were tense and dramatic and Roberts called them “the unperfect storm,”. The Rays were joyous with huge smiles while the Dodgers were sulking as perhaps they couldn’t believe how the game got away from them.
Phillips was the hero of the day. He rounded second and ran towards forever. He followed Kiermaier ‘s style by spreading his arms and ran like an airplane. As the Rays surged ahead, he knelt and thanked God with a radiant smile.
While the Dodgers scored six runs with two outs, the Rays managed to score only two runs with two outs. Kiermaier said, “Baseball works in mysterious ways.” Sometimes the game can disappoint or frustrate the better team as there are so many permutations and combinations in each game.
