Celebrity Mark Wahlberg has moved from California to Nevada and the reason for the move is simple. He wants his kids to lead “a better life” in Nevada. The family had put their ritzy home in Hollywood, Los Angeles, for sale in spring. They moved to Nevada so that they could have a better life. He had positive energy about the move and the opportunities that would be available for all of them.
Celebrity actor Mark Wahlberg is married to model Rhea Durham. They have four kids: two daughters and two sons. Their oldest daughter Ella is 19. They have two sons Michael who is 16 and Brendan who is 14. Their youngest child is daughter Grace, who is 12-years old. The three younger children live their parents.
Wahlberg appeared on Tuesday on The Talk and answered the question of how he managed being a present father and a husband as well as managing a business. Mark Wahlberg is a co-founder of Municipal, a Sports Utility Gear apparel firm.
Wahlberg said that he wanted to work from home as his Hollywood acting career consisted of making “a couple of movies.” He said that he wanted to give his children “a better life” and allow them to pursue and follow careers of their choice whether it was equestrian, basketball or golf.
The 51-year old celebrity actor also spoke of “a new look, a fresh start for the kids.” He was also excited about the future and mentioned plans that included the following:
Building a “state-of-art studio in Nevada to make it “Hollywood 2.0.”
To build a “shoe factory and a factory for Municipal.”
Mark Wahlberg had bought a six-acre property, in 2009 for $8.25 million in LA. Architect Richard Landry had been commissioned to design the 12 bedroom, 20 bathroom home in the ritzy Beverly Park neighborhood. The Los Angeles home is in the market for an asking price of $87.5 million.
