Isaih Moore made the go-ahead shot with 90 seconds left and recorded 16 points and eight rebounds to help host Fresno State notch a 71-67 upset of No. 21 New Mexico in Mountain West play on Tuesday night.

The Lobos (14-1, 2-1 MWC) were the last unbeaten team in the nation after top-ranked Purdue lost 65-64 to Rutgers on Monday night.

Isaiah Hill scored 14 points, Jemarl Baker Jr. added 13 points and Eduardo Andre contributed 12 points, eight rebounds, four steals and two blocked shots for the Bulldogs (6-8, 2-1). Fresno State has beaten New Mexico seven straight times and in 12 of the past 14 meetings.

Jamal Mashburn Jr. had 22 points and three steals for the Lobos. Morris Udeze registered 18 points and seven rebounds, and Jaelen House added 16 points, six rebounds and four steals.

Baker fed Moore for a layup as Fresno State took a 68-67 lead with 1:30 left.

House missed a shot in the lane with 31 seconds left before Hill hit two free throws to give the Bulldogs a three-point edge with 20.3 seconds to play.

Andre blocked Mashburn’s shot with nine seconds left and Hill was fouled with 7.1 seconds left and split two free throws as Fresno State completed its top win of the season.

The Bulldogs made 50 percent of their shots and were 7 of 21 from behind the arc.

The Lobos shot 47.4 percent from the field, including 4 of 10 from 3-point range. New Mexico’s 14-0 start was the second best in program history behind the 1967-68 Lobos starting 17-0.

Josiah Allick’s 3-pointer capped a 13-5 burst and gave the Lobos a 55-48 lead with 10:58 remaining in the game.

Fresno State scored the next seven points with Moore’s dunk tying the score with 9:29 left.

New Mexico later moved ahead 65-63 on House’s three-point play with 4:30 remaining but would miss its final six field-goal attempts of the game.

Mashburn missed the front end of a one-and-one 32 seconds later and Fresno State’s Hill split two free throws with 3:38 left before Baker made two to give the Bulldogs a 66-65 edge with 2:21 left.

Allick made two free throws with 1:58 left to give New Mexico a one-point lead prior to Moore’s big basket.

Fresno State held a 36-32 halftime lead.
