Four No. 1 seeds lead women’s Top 25 poll

NCAA Tournament No. 1 seeds South Carolina, Iowa, Southern California and Texas are also the top four teams in this week’s Associated Press Top 25 women’s basketball poll.

The undefeated Gamecocks (32-0) received all 35 first-place votes in Monday’s poll and are followed by the Hawkeyes (29-4), Trojans (26-5) and Longhorns (30-4).

The top three were unchanged, with Texas climbing one spot after winning last week’s Big 12 tournament. Stanford (28-5) slipped one spot to fifth.

UCLA (25-6), Ohio State (25-5), LSU (28-5), Notre Dame (26-6) and UConn (29-5) round out the top 10.

The AP will release a final poll following the NCAA Tournament for the first time in the rankings’ 47-year history.
