“We have a low-life out there that kidnapped an 8-month-old baby, her mom, her dad and her uncle,” Merced County Sheriff Vern Warnke said in a statement Monday night. “We have no motivation behind it, we just know that they are gone.”
Aroohi Dheri, the child, her parents Jasleen Kaur and Jasdeep Singh, as well as the infant’s uncle Amandeep Singh, 39, “were seized against their will from a business” on South Highway 59, a street dotted with shops and eateries, according to officials. The company’s name was kept a secret.
In Merced County, California, on Monday, a person who officials described as armed and dangerous abducted a baby and her parents.
According to the Merced County Sheriff’s Office, a fourth relative was also seized from a family business in a rural area of the Central Valley.
