Four human skulls that were being sent to the United States were discovered by local authorities in central Mexico on Friday. The National Guard of Mexico reported that its officers were sent to an airport in Queretaro after an X-ray picked up unusual forms in a cardboard box.
The package was being sent to a Manning, South Carolina address from Michoacan state’s southern city of Apaztingan. One of the most violent states in Mexico is Michoacan, where the Viagras drug gang has long controlled Apatzingan. No matter how the skulls were obtained or whether the goods were intended for medical research, the Guard claimed that the shipment may have violated Mexican rules regarding the disposal of corpses.
