Following the arrest of two juveniles in connection with the recent shooting deaths of three youngsters in Central Florida last week, a third suspect was arrested by the police on Saturday. Between March 30 to April 1, police found the bodies of three teenagers who had been shot and placed at different locations outside Ocklawaha.
After his accused accomplices 12-year-old Christopher Atkins and 17-year-old Robert Robinson were detained on Friday in connection with the killings outside Ocklawaha, police pledged to find the third suspect, 16-year-old Tahj Brewton.
The bodies of both 16 years old and an unidentified 17-year-old boy were found shot to death and were recovered over three days discarded in separate locations within a 5-mile radius, the US Marshals teamed up with the Lake County Sheriff’s Office to help arrest Brewton.

According to reports, investigators think the victims were involved in robberies and break-ins, and both the victims and the accused were allegedly members of criminal groups. Brewton was detained on outstanding warrants for aggravated assault, carjacking with a firearm, theft of a motor vehicle, attempting to elude a law enforcement officer, and tampering with a monitoring device, according to the sheriff’s office. He was taken into custody near Groveland, Florida.

Marion County Sheriff’s Office revealed that “additional charges” as well as first-degree murder are forthcoming as part of the ongoing investigation on the three dead juveniles. The three young suspects were wanted in connection with the slayings of three youngsters.
The first victim, identified as Layla Silvernail, was found wounded on the side of the road in the Forest Lakes Park neighborhood on March 30. She later passed away from her wounds. The following morning, a 17-year-old youth was discovered on the side of the road, and a third victim, another teenager identified as Camille Quarles, was discovered in the trunk of Silvernail’s car, which was partially drowned in a lake. The male victim’s identity has not been disclosed by police. The victims and the accused, according to the police, were reportedly members of a burglary gang.
