On Wednesday night, the LA Fire Department responded in a flash, when smoke was detected from the actor Denzel Washington’s home in Beverly Crest.

Reports said that smoke could be seen emerging from the second floor of his multi-level house in Los Angeles, just after 8 pm. The house has four stories.

Authorities said that no flames were detected. The crew used thermal imaging cameras to search for a possible fire in the walls, but no flames were detected anywhere. They climbed on the roof as well and thoroughly checked the house. All occupants of the home were safely evacuated. Everyone is said to be fine

The LAFD later concluded: “The source of that smoke was determined to be one of the several furnaces that was recently serviced and has now been safely taken off-line. There were no injuries, and all occupants have been allowed to return inside the residence.”

Last Summer a huge fire devastated Rachel Ray’s home in Lake Luzerne, New York. On the Rachel Ray Show she said, “It looks like there’s a footprint of a house again which is great. But there won’t be a house finished there until probably next May.
