Palmeiras and FC Porto played to a 0-0 draw in the group stage of the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup.

The contest was played before an announced crowd of 46,275 at Met Life Stadium in East Rutherford, N.J.

Palmeiras enjoyed a slight edge in play, recording 19 shots and putting six on target while FC Porto responded with 14 and two respectively. The Brazilian side was the more physical team, as they were whistled for 21 fouls, compared to 12 for the Portuguese side.

Palmeiras threatened in extra time, but could not beat FC Porto goalkeeper Claudio Ramos, who was credited with four saves. Lucas Evangelista’s header from the center of the box in the 92nd minute was blocked before it could get to Ramos and Raphael Veiga’s attempt a minute later from close range sailed high and wide right of the goal.

Palmeiras netminder Weverton made three stops in the contest.

Palmeiras held possession for 48 percent of the match, while FC Porto responded at 44 percent.
