Indiana Fever guard Kelsey Mitchell will miss the remainder of the season with a plantar fascia tear in her left foot, the team announced.
Mitchell, 26, averages team-leading totals in points (18.4) and assists (4.2) in 31 games (all starts) this season for the Fever (5-26), who are mired in a franchise-worst 13-game losing skid.
She has averaged 15.9 points, 3.0 assists and 2.0 rebounds in 153 career games (122 starts) with Indiana.
Rookie guards Destanni Henderson and Lexie Hull are candidates for more playing time in the absence of Mitchell.
